Posted on April 16, 2018
On March 27, 28, 29 2018 all Carroll County Sheriff’s Office commissioned Deputies and courts staff of Carroll County Common Pleas and Municipal Courts participated in the MILO training simulator, sponsored by County Risk Sharing Authority or (CORSA). During the training, all individuals were given judgement scenarios via interactive media screens where they learned less lethal and non lethal options of diffusing situations when the use of lethal force is not a necessary means. The course was instructed by Steve Flory. The Sheriff requires all Deputies and personnel to have advanced training. Sheriff Williams requires a combined department total of 2,000+ training hours per year for Carroll County Sheriff's Deputies alone. All attendees for this training received participation certificates.
